Michael Stahl’s RV-8 | Omaha, Nebraska RV-8 #83685
Great work, Michael! He writes:
Building this aircraft has been a journey of highs and lows and a test of patience and a lesson in persistence, flying this wonderful piece of engineering is well worth the price of admission. A big Thank You to everybody at Van’s Aircraft, Van’s AirForce and EAA Tech Councilor Bob Condrey for all your wisdom along the build process, Scott Sundstrum for the masterful transition training and my neighbor Mike Bland for a talented extra hand when needed. Most of all I couldn’t have done this without the support (sometimes reluctant) of my wife Dana Stahl, now it’s time for me to pay up with a trip or two!
A few minor squaks to work through during phase 1 but the IO390-EXP119 pulls this airframe through the air swiftly and the fastback just amplifies the cool factor.
Keep pounding those rivets!
