After 18 years of slow building, N705JM finally took flight at KWEA in Texas. It’s been a long journey and I thank my patient family for supporting me in this endeavor. I also thank Joe G who provided mentorship and encouragement which ultimately made the finish line possible. This RV-8 is a slow build that has an IOX-370 with a whirlwind propellor and SDS fuel and ignition system. It has a full Garmin panel with autopilot and IFR GPS. I’m looking forward to completing Phase 1 and exploring the county in this powerful beast.
