Mark Johnson’s RV-12 | Warren County Airport (I68), Lebanon Ohio RV-12 #120812

On Dec 4th, after many days of impatiently waiting for the weather to be just right, N481MJ took to the sky for the first time. This adventure started on Christmas Day back in 2013, so almost 5 years and 1200 hours it all finally came together, beautifully.

The build went great and I really want to think Van’s for designing a great kit and a fantastic plane. The first flight went really well with no issues other than a slight heavy left wing (might be attributed to pilot weight).

A special thanks to my family for putting up with me and the many hours in the garage, for the additional hands when needed and their love & patience.

My ELSA RV-12 has a single Dynon SV-HDX1100, Auto Pilot w/knob panel, light package, ADSB IN/OUT, interior by Flight Line (including SLSA style carpets), thanks Abby. Empty weight 738 lbs., interior PPG concept paint.

She still needs some exterior paint, but in the meantime, I plan to take advantage of any nice day that comes along and go flying.

The aircraft is based Warren County Airport (I68), Lebanon Ohio.
