Freddy Fink’s RV-8 flew for the first time. Here’s more:

On the morning of July 22nd, I finally flew my RV-8 for the first time. I bought the kit at the end of 2022 from another builder who had already riveted the empennage and then sold the project due to personal reasons. After about three-and-a-half years of investing most of my free time into the project, the RV-8 took flight for the first time at EDTY. My RV-8 features a Superior fuel injected 180HP engine, a DUC ground-adjustable three-blade composite prop and a tow-hook for glider towing above the tail wheel. Looking forward to explore Europe (and beyond?) after flight testing! Thank you to everyone who made this project possible!
