The first flight was totally uneventful which was perfect for the first flight test. The aircraft performed flawlessly and is a delight to fly. I have to thank the whole team at Van’s for the support I received during the construction, I had no prior aircraft building experience and I wouldn’t have been able to finish the kit and have the plane flying if it weren’t for the excellent step by step plans and instructions and all the support received when I asked questions via email and on the phone. The test-flight program documentation was also a great help to ensure the aircraft was ready for the first flight and during the flight testing phases. Two years have passed since the first flight now and the plane has 191 hours on it, I have flown it all across Spain, Portugal, France and Germany and it is still flying flawlessly and performs as advertised.
