Daniel Gagnon’s RV-14 | Windsor, ON, Canada RV-14 #141307

Daniel Gagnon’s RV-14 flew for the first time. Here’s more:

I picked up the first kit of my then RV-14A, on December 30th, 2022. By January 3rd, I had completed the first parts and made the decision she would be an RV14, so I quickly ordered the correct tailwheel parts and never looked back. My slow build was off to a start and three-and-a-half years later it is a completed airplane. Its beautiful panel was built by Midwest Panel Builders, already upgraded to AXIS, and it includes a factory-new IO-390 and Classic Aero interior. It is everything I ever imagined.

First flight was on July 30th, 2026, a beautiful Thursday evening (told everyone for years I would fly on Thursday). She soared into the sky exactly the way it should have. A dozen laps around the airport to start the break in and an uneventful landing.
