Pete O’Hare’s RV-12iS | Kent, United Kingdom RV-12iS #121334

Congrats to Pete on his new RV-12iS! He writes:

Today, on August 5th, 2025, after four and a half years of planning, building and dreaming, G-UAPS took to the skies over the south-east of England for the first time with John Price (fellow RV-12iS builder) at the controls – marking the successful completion of a rewarding journey and the start of a new adventure! With a mix of excitement, nerves and pride, the wheels left the ground – and the dream became a reality. G-UAPS appeared to perform beautifully from the ground and John reported a smooth flight with no surprises.

Of course, this milestone wasn’t reached alone. Many thanks are owed to Alejandra, my wife, whose patience, support and encouragement were a driving force throughout the entire project and without her G-UAPS would still be a project. I also want to thank my inspector, Bob Cole, and experienced builder and test pilot, John Price, both now great friends, who graciously gave their time, tools and expertise more times than I can count – whether it was helping solve a tricky problem, teaching me something new or just being there to lend a hand, it wouldn’t have been possible without them. And finally, to each and every member of the Van’s Aircraft team, thank you for such a great kit and for all of your support throughout this project.
