Garry E Shepherd’s RV-7A | Kincardine Ontario Canada C-KS9 RV-7A #72153
Congratulations to Garry on the completion of his second RV! He shares:
The hand me down kit I purchased in 2017 was already 12 years old and no rivets have been driven (this made for a blank canvasfor RV#2 ) so having only been flying my RV 6 for eight months ,it got severely neglected for the first four or five years, I must say that when Van’s redesigned the two place side-by-side in 2002 , they hit it out of the park with the only exception being the wing attached bolts on the A model ha ha ha ! The new machine incorporates, lots of must have options and so far I am loving it with only 3.7 hrs of flight time in the last 10 days , what really stands out to me is the difference between the constant speed, Propeller /200 Hp and a full interior that the extra gross weight allows for, it was a sad day when ARV#1 had to depart for a very good home near Denver !
Thank you Dick for persevering through your early start up days when you had only the RV-4 tape looping under a 10 x 10 tent @ our favorite airshow !
