Rotax has published ASB 2026-001, which identifies Rotax 900-series engines (including the 912iS used in the RV-12iS for both experimental and LSA applications) that may have been produced with missing hardware and an oil-spray assembly in the gearbox.
In the ASB, serial numbers for engines thought to be effective as well as gearbox serial numbers that may be affected are listed. RV-12iS owners are strongly encouraged to read the ASB and determine if their engine is among those that may be affected.
