Sensenich's 2- and 3-blade, ground-adjustable composite propellers are light and aerodynamically efficient. Manufactured using a prepreg compression molding process on foam core to produce a stiff, one piece blade that the company says yields repeatable blades with maximum strength, durability, and low weight. Changing pitch settings is easy thanks to a special Pitch Gage pin system, which means you don't need a protractor or other measuring tools to accurately set pitch. Each prop comes with 3 double-sided pins for a total of 6 different pitch settings.

Note that all new IO-320s sold by Van's come with 7/16" prop bolts. Only use this choice for engines sourced elsewhere with 3/8" prop bolts.

Prop Style*

Sensenich offers both carbon-fiber ground-adjustable props as well as conventional fixed-pitch aluminum props in three pitch configurations.

Sorry, Sensenich no longer offers the aluminum metal fixed-pitch propeller for (I)O-360 applications.

A note about prop spacers. Kits shipped since late 1993 require the 2.25-inch spacer/extension. Kits shipped before that with cowlings intended for fixed-pitch applications (marked as Fixed Pitch or FP on the packing list) require the longer, 4-inch extension.

Composite Spinner

You must order a Sensenich composite spinner for any of the composite props, 2- or 3-blade, since the spinners normally packaged with the finishing kits will not fit. Please remember to omit the spinner in the finishing kit for your aircraft type.

Van’s Aircraft, Inc. has an OEM agreement with Sensenich Propellers that allows us to offer new fixed-pitch propellers at favorable prices. This agreement has several requirements:

Sensenich props are available only to RV customer builders with a Van’s assigned serial number and must be installed on the corresponding airplane.
Builders must have purchased, or have on order, all kits through the Finishing Kit for that aircraft serial number.
Only one prop may be purchased per customer serial number.
Any applicable taxes, freight and handling charges will be added and must be paid prior to shipping. Amount varies by destination.
Payment may be made in U.S. funds: electronic check, wire transfer, or check.
Props will ship directly to the customer (USA orders) or to Van’s (for overseas orders).
Prices subject to change without notice. Customer instigated delays may result in price increases.
To ensure proper shipment, this form must be completed, signed electronically, and included with order.
