Join us and a bunch of your RV friends for a Lycoming factory tour!
Devin Albrecht, an RV owner has organized a fly-in/tour of his employer at the Lycoming Engines factory. The plan is for people to arrive on Thursday, May 14th in the afternoon/evening and then plan on a 9:00 a.m. plant tour of the engine shop and manufacturing facility on May 15th. Those choosing to fly into KIPT will have ramp space at the Lycoming hangar available for the weekend for as many airplanes as they can fit at no charge (please bring tie-downs and chocks). Overflow can check in with Energy Aviation on the field. The group is also looking at arranging an evening out on the town Friday night followed by a possible fly-out to breakfast on Saturday morning.
Devin has also arranged for a tour stop in the Lycoming Thunderbolt build area, known to insiders as the ATC, to see the custom engine shop. Note that this portion of the tour can only be permitted to US citizens.
We ask you to RSVP to Devin’s email (firstname.lastname@example.org) using the subject “VAF Lycoming Tour RSVP” once you know you’re planning to attend. Please RSVP only if you will be joining the tour and also let Devin know if you will be flying in. If you are a “maybe” or “interested” please wait and RSVP once you know you’re going and are ready to make the commitment.
