KIT OPTIONS

Van’s has two options to help you complete your RV sooner, without busting the budget.

 THE QUICKBUILD WING KIT

You may now order a QuickBuild Wing Kit for the RV-7/7A, RV-8/8A, RV-9/9A or RV-10 and have your wings built to QuickBuild status while you work on your empennage or fuselage kit at home

 QuickBuild wings can really speed up your project. All skins except one are installed and riveted. The fuel tanks are sealed and pressure checked. The ailerons and flaps arrive ready to install. The basic wing "box" is riveted together and is rigid enough to handle without fear of distortion. Prefabricated, gold anodized spars are used. All parts are primed before assembly. Remaining work includes riveting on the last skin, installing a fuel pick-up and fuel level sender, installing the control system, attaching the flap brace and aileron gap seal and installing the fiberglass wing tip.

THE QUICKBUILD FUSELAGE KIT

You may now order a Fuselage QuickBuild Kit for the RV-7/7A, RV-8/8A, RV-9/9A and RV-10.

A QuickBuild fuselage is approximately 75% complete. The majority of the aluminum structure is riveted together. All parts are primed before assembly. If you currently have a wing kit, we’ll ask that return the fuselage center section components that were included as they are an integral part of the fuselage. If you don’t have a wing kit ordered yet, you’ll need to purchase a few extra components early that are normally shipped with the Wing Kit.  Our Order Department representatives can explain the details when you place the order.

LEAD TIMES: Fuselage Only and Wing Only QuickBuild customers may experience extended lead times due to logistics in delivering ‘airframe specific’ parts to our assembly facility in the Philippines .  Lead times can also vary depending on our current stock and/or component stock available in the Philippines .  Since containers are shipped every 2-3 months, it is possible that orders placed only days apart could have significantly different lead times. Van’s can supply information on approximate lead times relative to when an order is placed.
