KIT OPTIONS
Van’s has two options to help you complete your RV sooner, without busting the budget.
THE QUICKBUILD WING KIT
You may now order a QuickBuild Wing Kit for the RV-7/7A, RV-8/8A, RV-9/9A or RV-10 and have your wings built to QuickBuild status while you work on your empennage or fuselage kit at home.
Because the wing spars and fuselage center section are drilled as a matched set, we require that a standard fuselage kit order be placed in conjunction with the QB Wing order with at least a 25% deposit on both kits.QuickBuild wings are complete except for one skin and
wing tip. The fuel tanks are sealed and pressure checked. The ailerons and flaps
arrive ready to install. The basic wing "box" is riveted together and
is rigid enough to handle without fear of distortion. Only gold anodized spars
are used. All parts are primed before assembly. Remaining work includes riveting
on the last skin, installing a fuel pick-up and fuel level sender, installing
the control system, attaching the flap brace and aileron gap seal and installing
the fiberglass wing tip.

THE QUICKBUILD FUSELAGE KIT
You may now order a Fuselage QuickBuild Kit for the RV-7/7A, RV-8/8A, RV-9/9A and RV-10.
A QuickBuild fuselage is approximately 75% complete. The basic aluminum structure from firewall to tail post is riveted together. All parts are primed before assembly. The remaining work includes the interior structure of the cabin, one of the aft top skins, and the upper fuselage structure between the instrument panel and the firewall. If you currently have a wing kit, you will need to return the fuselage center section components that were included. If you don’t have a wing kit ordered yet, we require that it be ordered in conjunction with the QuickBuild Fuselage along with at least a 25% deposit on both kits.

LEAD TIMES: Fuselage Only and Wing Only QuickBuild customers should expect extended lead times due to logistics in delivering ‘airframe specific’ parts to the Philippines. The ‘airframe specific’ parts involved include the SPARS for the wings and the CENTER SECTION BULKHEAD for the fuselage. Customers who already have a wing kit and wish to order a Fuse Only QuickBuild will need to return the center section bulkhead components that were included in the wing kit.
These parts must be available at Van’s at least 2 weeks prior to the export of a container to the Philippines. If they are not available at that time, they will be held here at Van’s until the next container is shipped to the Philippines. Since containers are shipped every 2-3 months, it is possible that orders placed only days apart could have significantly different lead times. Van’s can supply information on approximate ship dates for containers going to the Philippines.
